Luxurious Ensuite Transformation in a Detached Cottage

For this project in Stuston, Suffolk, our client envisioned a sophisticated ensuite transformation to create a private, luxurious retreat within their detached cottage. The design had to be both elegant and functional, especially considering the height of the client, who is over 6ft tall. Maximising ceiling height in the shower was a key focus to ensure comfort.
The design came to life when the client fell in love with the Woodland Glade National Trust tiles in our showroom, which became the centerpiece of the space. From there, we carefully selected the vanity and toilet furniture to perfectly complement the tiles, creating a cohesive and refined look.
Due to the age of the property and the sloped ceiling, we faced some challenges in optimizing the layout. To address these, we relocated the shower enclosure to the opposite side of the room and lowered the shower tray as much as possible to gain maximum height. A quadrant shower enclosure was selected to make the most of the available space, adding both style and practicality.
Additionally, the toilet and sink positions were adjusted to further enhance the room’s functionality, and a vanity unit was installed to provide extra storage, adding both convenience and luxury to the ensuite.
